1What Are Cookies & Local Storage?
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Similarly, HTML5 Local Storage allows modern web applications to store key-value data directly in your browser without transmitting it back and forth to a remote server on every network request.
At MÉ-MO, we use cookies and local storage to make your puzzle-solving experience seamless—such as preserving your letters as you type, keeping your daily streak alive, measuring site traffic, and displaying non-intrusive ads that keep our games free for everyone.
2Categories of Cookies We Use
We organize our tracking and storage technologies into three clear categories:
Strictly Necessary & Functional Storage
Always ActiveThese items are technically required for our website to function. They store your crossword progress, current solving streaks, leaderboard player alias, and selected visual theme (such as vibrant, sepia, or night mode).
